Cocktails from the 80s have a bad reputation. And for good reason– cornball bartenders doing acrobatics with lurid bottles of liquid isn’t something we ever need to see again. But by introducing some quality ingredients and with some more attention to detail, it’s easy to shake up some of these frowned-upon classics and give them a sophisticated, timeless twist.

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Combine the rum, pineapple juice, lime and grenadine in a cocktail shaker.
2. Top up with Orangina and ice.
3. Shake up vigorously to create a velvety texture and serve in a glass with a wedge of lime.
