Luckily for the oldtimers, this left them free to get refining. By the end of the decade, the trend was
for simple,
stylish cocktails that had just enough extras added to the spirits to make the final result deliciously
palatable –

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Pour the gin into a chilled glass and add ice.
2. Shake up the Orangina and fill the glass.
3. Run some orange peel along the rim of the glass before adding as a garnish.
